Having enjoyed Deserta’s Black Aura My Sun as much as I did, I made sure that I would keep an eye on other releases coming from Felte Records. With this Gold Cage single, the initial returns have been quite satisfying.
“Repeater Kember” builds patiently, introduced by a strolling drum beat and crumbling guitar loop. The vocals of Monica Gamboa-Katz and Cole Devine arrive and bounce slowly off one another before giving a way to a dense crescendo of rough-edged riffs.
