When the PC Music label was at the peak of its cultural presence in the mid-2010s, Kane West was making some of the wildest dance music around by taking house and inflating it with cheesed up instrumentation that seemed to come from FL Studio stock plugins. We hadn’t heard any new original material from Kane since the chaotic overload of 2017’s “Definitely Come Together”, but Mr. West has returned to collaborate with Thomas Von Party on the DJ Move Your Body EP.
DJ Move Your Body is a playful little project that is bound to get you moving and grooving. The punchy drums, whimsical melodies, and repetitious dancefloor-commanding vocal lines are an instant moodbooster. Is it a little silly? Yes, but that’s part of the charm. “Everybody happy”.
